What’s Going on at the Foglia Y?  Plenty!

Exciting School Age Child Care News

 

Foglia YMCA has offered before and after care to students grades K-5 of District 95/St. Francis for close to a decade now. 

 

The member cost of utilizing both before and after care for 5 days a week during the school year is less than $25 dollars a day.  There is even the option of sending children less than 5 days a week and a cost for non-members. 

 

New this year will be the addition of AM Kindergarten full day care!  Kindergarten students of District 95/St. Francis will have the ability to be bussed to the Foglia YMCA after their school day to participate in tons of activities and fun until 3 pm.  Parents then have the option of continuing their kindergartener's day with after care until 6 pm or pick up at their school site at 3 pm. 

 

Alongside this exciting new option for parents is still our before care which is held at Issac Fox Elementary School and May Whitney Elementary School from 6:45 - 8:15 am then bussing students to their appropriate schools prior to the start of the school day.  Also our after care which is held at Issac Fox Elementary School, May Whitney Elementary School, Saint Francis, Sarah Adams Elementary School, Seth Paine Elementary School and Spencer Loomis Elementary School from 3:00 - 6:00 pm.  For further information on either program, please contact Susan Dillon, School Age Child Care Director, at 847.410.5373.

NEW! Lacrosse League

 

Foglia YMCA is proud to offer in partnership with Lake Zurich Lacrosse 2 new leagues for boys in grades 2&3 and 4&5.

 

These developemental leagues will stress fundementals while keeping the fun. If your son wants to learn this fast growing sport or if he already plays and wants to keep his skills up, then these are the
leagues for you. Some equipment will be available but we strongly suggest that personal equipment be purchased.


Season Registration: Jun 15-Aug 1

League Dates: Aug 16-Oct 9

Fee (M/NM): $95/$145

 

NEW! Kettlebell Group Training


Kettlebell Group Training will consist of a full body warm-up, and progresses into teaching the foundation kettlebell lifts (swing, squat pull, clean, snatch, deadlift,
press and the Turkish Get Up).

 

Proficiency in these foundation lifts will ensure your success in losing body fat, increasing your
strength, correcting strength imbalances and overall general fitness.

Training groups consist of 6 partipants.

NEW! TRX Group Suspension Training

 

TRX is a new way to workout for all fitness levels that builds all body strength, flexibility and your core
at the same time. Quick transitions keep your heart rate going to burn calories. The TRX harnesses your own body weight to create resistance as you train… you control the resistance by adjusting position and body angle. That’s all you need- the TRX and your own body. It’s fun!

 

Body Blast - The program moves through a variety of exercises including: warmup, upper body, lower
body and core. This program engages all your muscles with this non-stop total body workout. It is ideal for people who are new to TRX and who want a fun, high energy experience.


Cardio Circuit - This high intensity program moves participants through fast-paced cycles of upper body, lower body, core and cardio exercises. You’ll get non-stop movement as you do multiple sets of exercises targeting all of your muscles. You’ll finish tired, sweaty and feeling great!


Core Strength - Build crucial core strength from the innermost abdominal muscles and lower back, and build a new, healthy base for your fitness routine - and do it in less time.


Flexibility - Get back the length of muscle and ease of movement your body needs for peak performance and health, with a tailored stretching program perfect for all fitness levels.
