Foglia Aquaducks Swim Team (F.A.S.T. )

This competitive swim team is for experienced swimmers from ages 4-18.  We have very experienced and caring coaches with a variety of swimming backgrounds.  We will be competing in several meets against other YMCAs in the Chicago land area.  Swim team try outs are held in April and August – please see the current Program Guide for more information.  Practice times are based on the swimmers ability. Assigned practice times may change at the coach's discretion. 

All swim team participants must be Foglia YMCA members.  There is a 10% discount for each additional child.

Pre-requisites:
8 and Under
Must be able to swim: 25 yards of freestyle, 25 yards of backstroke, 25 yards of basic breaststroke, and basic butterfly  

 

9-12 year olds
Must be able to swim: 50 yards of freestyle with flip turns, 50 yards of backstroke, 50 yards of breaststroke, and 25 yards of butterfly

12-18 year olds
Must be able to swim: 100 yards of freestyle with flip turns, 100 yards of backstroke, 100 yards of breaststroke, and 50 yards of butterfly

Summer 2010 Practice Times, Levels and Fees :

 

 

Red Team (12 & Under - Novice/Beginner swimmers)
3 practices per week
Tuesday/Thursday/Friday     6:15-7:30 pm 
Fee: $405

 

Yellow Team (All ages – Advanced and District level swimmers only)
3 practices per week
Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday      5:15-6:30 pm
Fee: $200

Blue Team ( All Ages- Novice/Advanced swimmers)
4 practices per week
Monday-Thursday     7:15-9:00 pm
Fee: $405

Green Team ( All Ages - Advanced/District Level swimmers)
5 practices per week
Monday-Friday      6:15-8:00 pm
Fee: $485
